Northern Ballet’s iconic Quarry Hill headquarters turned red recently for the Professional 100 Club’s Chinese New Year themed annual dinner. The Professional 100 Club is an independent corporate networking group for young professionals from various companies and industries across Leeds.
The Club, which has over 150 members and celebrates its 23rd birthday this year, is a non-profit organisation led by a committee of like-minded individuals seeking the opportunity to develop confidence in networking skills and build a contact base within the Leeds corporate market place. The events hosted by the Professional 100 Club are designed to provide informal but organised networking. Each year the club organises six social events for its members with their latest being held at Northern Ballet.
Northern Ballet worked closely with the Professional 100 Club to deliver a memorable evening. Students from the Academy of Northern Ballet performed for the guests with additional entertainment provided in the form of a Chinese Lion by Six Harmonies Lion Dance Crew, who led the call to dinner.
An authentic three course Chinese banquet was provided by Catering Yorkshire and the Leeds University Business School Confucius Institute supplied traditional Chinese dress, opera masks and lanterns with demonstrations of traditional Chinese calligraphy.
